IEEE P1547 Series of Standards for Interconnection: Preprint

چکیده
-The IEEE P1547 Standard For Interconnecting Distributed Resources With Electric Power Systems is the first in the P1547 series of planned interconnection standards, and additional standards are needed. There are major issues and obstacles to an orderly transition to the use and integration of distributed power resources with electric power systems. The lack of uniform national interconnection standards and tests for interconnection operation and certification— as well as the lack of uniform national building, electrical, and safety codes—is understood, and resolving this requires reasonable lead time to develop and promulgate consensus. The P1547 standard is a benchmark milestone for the IEEE standards consensus process and successfully demonstrates a model for ongoing success in the development of further national standards and for moving forward in modernizing our nation's electric power system.

A Literature Survey on International Standards for Systems Requirements Engineering
Since 2005, the international organization for standardization (ISO) has published a wealth of standards and reports that deal with requirements engineering for systems. ISO/IEC/IEEE 24765 defines a standard vocabulary for systems and software engineering. ISO/IEC 24766 defines requirements for requirements engineering tools. ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148 describes processes for requirements engineering. ...
متن کاملImplementation of Voltage and Frequency Ride-Through Requirements in Distributed Energy Resources Interconnection Standards
The rapid deployment of distributed resources (DR), principally photovoltaic systems, is driving changes in distribution system interconnection standards. While much of the effort is on mitigating local issues such as voltage control and protection coordination, there is also an increasingly urgent need to consider the effect that DR have on bulk power system reliability. A major concern is tha...
متن کاملA New Vision for Standards
W hat is significant about standards? On a recent trip to an IEEE Posix meeting in Utrecht, The Netherlands, my spouse and I stopped in Paris for a few days. One evening, I inserted my credit card in an automatic teller machine, entered my four-digit code, and requested 300 francs. A moment later, the machine gave me the francs, which were automatically converted to US dollars and deducted from...
متن کاملOff-loading TCP/IP into hardware makes Gigabit Ethernet a reality for your application
Ethernet performance has increased from megabits per second (Mbits/s) to gigabits per second (Gbits/s) and its popularity reflects not only its status as an IEEE standard, but because the Ethernet protocol has a number of features and benefits that have proved attractive to designers and engineers: Long established and well understood technology; Allows low-cost network implementations; Provide...
متن کاملOpen Systems Interconnection
The subject of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) standardization is becoming increasingly important to the telecommunications and information processing communities. A number of OS1 standards have been completed, others are near completion, and initial product offerings by vendors have begun. This paper briefly defines what OS1 is, the interrelationships of the various standards bodies, and th...
